See you in 2014!
Thank you to all of the children, parents, sponsors, performers, volunteers, vendors, and friends that made the 2013 Island Children’s Festival a success! May 25, 2013 was an incredible day full of smiling faces, exciting performances, fun activities, and delicious food. We were thrilled to see so many families and members of the community come out and celebrate healthy and happy children. Please revisit our website for updates for the 2014 festival. See you next year!
Here is what Fred had to say about the 2012 festival:
The first annual Island Children’s Festival was fantastic. I was honoured to be a part of this new venture. We do tend to get wrapped up in our busy lives and forget about some of the basic values that hold us together. Saturday we were offered this balance. Dozens of families shared the music and fun and laughter at the festival but more importantly supported the Island Educational Access Fund and their work with special needs children. For more than 30 years I have toured the world performing for children and families and I never tire of seeing the glowing excited faces of the ageless audience. Memories were made on Saturday, and they will last a lifetime. Well done everyone!
See you next year – Fred Penner
